Luke Slaney-Hewitt

Luke Slaney-Hewitt is one of those rare people who’s managed to turn his hobby into his day job—and still keep the joy intact. As Product Manager Aircraft, Helicopters & real space for Revell, Luke has become a familiar face (and voice) in the modelling community, representing one of the most recognisable names in the industry while still finding time to sit at the bench.

Like so many modellers, Luke’s story started with an Airfix kit as a child, followed by years of on-and-off building before the bug bit properly again as an adult. His particular interests include aircraft and armour, with a soft spot for the iconic Cold War subjects that defined his early fascination with plastic.

At Revell, Luke has helped bring the brand closer to the community—championing engagement at shows, online, and through collaborations with groups, podcasts, and retailers. He balances the commercial side of the hobby with a modeller’s perspective, ensuring the kits and releases he promotes are always grounded in the reality of what builders want on their benches.

Beyond the day job, Luke is a regular presence at shows across the UK, where he’s just as likely to be found chatting about stash dilemmas as he is unveiling Revell’s latest news. His philosophy is simple: “The hobby only thrives if we share it.”
